To produce high-quality ballistic panels, we start with the finest raw materials and implement strict quality control measures. After determining the number of layers, DuPont™ Kevlar® is interleaved with synthetic rubber films on the cutting table and then cut into sets for pressing.

WKR also develops pre-molded parts to replace ballistic steel in vehicle armor. Using state-of-the-art materials, unidirectional fibers composites and pressing using heat and vacuum in the autoclave, we manufacture thinner parts 80% lighter than steel.

We use a thermo-controlled press weighing over 25 tons, exposing aramid to high temperatures and pressure, to obtain a thinner and more resistant plate. The result is a low thickness and high flexibility final product, thus facilitating the installation of the blanket in the vehicle.

WKR uses aramid engraving technology for batch control, the entire production process is tracked, from the aramid yarn manufacture to customer delivery. In addition responsible scrap disposal ensures environment protection.

To allow for faster installation, all parts are scanned to create a cutting plan, reducing material waste in each client's project. CNC cutting system is faster than manual cutting and guarantees greater precision, regardless of the molds complexity or material thickness.

WKR Prime has a complete ballistics laboratory, qualified to conduct tests in accordance with NIJ 0101.04, NIJ 0101.06 and ABNT NBR 15000 standards, to assess both vehicle armor and ballistic vests.

Our facilities are equipped with the most advanced equipment available on the market and our team of highly skilled professionals is qualified to conduct testing program according to procedures and standards on par with the most renowned laboratories in the industry.
